CM attends mass marriage ceremony at Nasrullaganj in Sehore district

lead29.4.16Bhopal, April 29, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state government is committed for women’s economic empowerment. Mr. Chouhan was addressing a mass marriage ceremony under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana at Nasrullaganj in Sehore district on Wednesday. The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to ensuring right to equality for every girl and woman in the state. He said that daughters brighten names of both their families and in-laws. The state government is providing women opportunities to move forwards at all levels.A number of schemes are being implemented for welfare of girls since their birth upto marriage and even after it, he added. The Chief Minister blessed 175 newly wed couples at the ceremony. Mr. Chouhan along with his wife welcomed the marriage parties by showering flower petals on them. On the occasion, he also unveiled a statue of Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad at School for Excellence. The Chief Minister felicitated a youth Santri Singh of village Chintikhera for marrying a widow in the ceremony. He described the example as worth emulating. He announced to provide Rs. one lakh as honorarium to him.
