Timarni development block declared open defecation free

cmgram28.4.16Bhopal, April 28, 2016 (Muslim Saleem):   Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh will progress when every village is developed. Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan will greatly help in this. Under the Abhiyan, every village will chalk out plan for its development. The Chief Minister was addressing a Gram Sansad under Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan at village Khidkiwala in Harda district today. On the occasion, he declared Timarni block as open defecation free. He felicitated public representatives and employees for cooperating in this work.The Chief Minister said that main objective of Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan is accelerate pace of village’s development from resources available in it, chalk out agriculture development plan, change crop pattern, revive rivers and extension of government schemes’ benefits to eligible beneficiaries. He said that Harda has been covered under Rural Livelihoods Mission due to which, rural women will get more employment opportunities. He reiterated his resolve to provide houses to all houseless people by year 2022. The Chief Minister felicitated most educated girl of the village Miss Seema and daughter-in-law Mrs. Sheetla Mayank Tiwari. He distributed ISO certificates to 12 SC, ST hostels of the district. Soil Health Cards were also given to some farmers.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister was weighed against Moong pulse as a gratitude for providing irrigation water through canal for moong crops in Harda district. This moong will be used as nutritious diet in anganwadi centres.  PWD Minister and in-charge of the district Mr. Sartaj Singh, MLAs Mr. Sanjay Shah and Mr. R.K. Dogane, former Minister Mr. Kamal Patel and other public representatives were also present on the occasion. In the presence of Chief Minister at Gram Sansad, sarpanch, secretary and patwari of Khidkiwala Gram Panchayat read out villages’ development report. They gave public information regarding works under Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan, benefited beneficiaries, cent percent mutation and division of properties. Collector Mr. Shrikant Bhanot presented a report of works done under the Abhiyan.
