CM Mr. Chouhan lays foundation stone of Chetak bridge 6-lane work
Bhopal, May 4, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that development and public welfare is the commitment of the state government. He was addressing a function after performing Bhumi Poojan of conversion of Chetak Bridge to 6-lane here today. Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Mr. Gopal Bhargava and Higher Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that the government’s resolve is to provided houses to all. He said that no one likes to live in slums.
The state government is making efforts to shift them to pucca houses. For this, about 40 thousand houses will be constructed. The people having land are being provided assistance by the state government to construct their own houses. No shanty will be removed before allotment of pucca house. He announced to connect Anna Nagar with electric supply line. He said that the state government has done all necessary works to ensure that people get basic amenities of Roti, Kapada and Makan, education and health. He said that free gas connections will be given in phases to the households where food is cooked on earthen Chulhas.
Mr. Chouhan said that the state government will show the path of happiness in people’s lives. For this, separate Happiness Ministry will be constituted. Efforts are underway to develop Bhopal as Clean, Green, Smart, Heritage and high-tech city. Referring to women’s empowerment schemes, he said that there would be no shortage of funds for talented girls’ education. It has been decided to give scholarships to students belonging to poor families of general category. Commission has been constituted for welfare of middle class. New employment opportunities are being created and efforts are being made to ensure that youths become entrepreneurs.
Referring to Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana and other self-employment schemes, he informed that Business Promotion Board has also been constituted. PWD Minister Mr. Sartaj Singh informed that Madhya Pradesh will be identified due to its roads and bridges by year 2018. He said that work to constructing long lasting roads is being cone in the state whose expiry period would be 30 to 40 years. MLAs Mr. Vishwas Sarang and Mr. Surendranath Singh also spoke on the occasion. PWD Engineer-in-Chief Mr. Akhilesh Agrawal proposed a vote of thanks.
