Viewers laud PR department’s photo exhibition

state19.5.16Bhopal, May 19, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  Glimpse of rapid growth of Madhya Pradesh can be seen in the attractive photo exhibition put up by Public Relations Department during Simhastha at Ujjain. Lakhs of devotees have seen all-round development of the state due to policies and programmes of the state government. Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the fastest growing state in the country. Its economic and agriculture growth rates are much higher than other states. In the state, thousands of youths have been provided employment after training. Renewable energy sector has been expanded and the state stands second in the country in this sector.

World’s biggest ultra mega solar power plant is being set up at Rewa. State’s infant mortality rate has come down from 76 to 54. All these achievements can be seen at this photo exhibition.  Madhya Pradesh government has made motivational efforts for women’s empowerment, which have started yielding encouraging results.  The exhibition is depicting efforts for women’s empowerment in the state. These include 50 percent reservation to women in three-tier panchayats, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Lado Abhiyan, 33 percent reservation to women in all departments except Forest Department and Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana under which marriages of 3.57 lakh girls have been solemnised.

Under the scheme, Rs. 25 thousand each is given to every couple. Photographs of all these schemes are being shown in the exhibition. Development exhibition shows that now villages in the state have started looking like cities. Villages have shining pucca roads. Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 62,321 km long 14001 pucca roads have been constructed. Similarly, 95 percent highways have been renovated and upgraded and 53102.47 km long roads constructed. The state is pioneer in the country in this respect.

Under the scheme, 14800 habitations have been linked to all-weather roads.  The photo exhibition also depicts that the state government has distributed 78 lakh 85 thousand Kisan Credit Cards so far. The state is pioneer in production of oilseeds and pulses. Farmers are provided loans at zero percent interest rate. Lakhs of farmers have been provided a number of facilities to make agriculture profitable. The photo exhibition depicting state government’s efforts for development has become a centre of attraction in Simhastha Mela are. Thousands of people are visiting it daily. As a token, visitors to the exhibition are gifted key-rings bearing photograph of Baba Mahakal.
