Waste will no more be dumped in Bhanpur garbage dump

gaur30.5.16Bhopal, May 30, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  Waste will no more be dumped in Bhanpur garbage dump. Orders have been issued on Sunday, May 29 to stop dumping garbage there. Plantation will be undertaken in and around Bhanpur garbage dump to grow forest. This was informed to Home and Jails Minister Mr. Babulal Gaur by Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mrs. Chhavi Bhardwaj during spot visit here today. Corporators and local people were also present on the occasion. Mr. Gaur said that as a result of efforts to change site of garbage dumping in the midst of the city for last many years, new garbage dumping site has been developed at Adampur Chhaoni. Almost all arrangements have been made there. Due to waste dumping in Bhanpur garbage dump, over one lakh population in nearby areas were facing health related problems. After stoppage of dumping at Bhanpur and plantation of saplings there, people will get conducive atmosphere. Corporators Mr. Leela Kishan Mali, Miss Tulsa Verma, Mr. Sanjay and Mrs. Asha Jain informed that smoke due to burning of waste causes irritation in people’s eyes and difficulty in breathing. Due to air and water pollution, people of the area are suffering from diseases like TB and cancer. The people assured to partner in plantation work. Mr. Gaur said that Municipal Corporation will start plantation work from September 1, 2016. First sapling will be planted by him on September 1. People said that every person will plant a sapling and one lakh saplings will be planted here.
