The Minister was addressing a plantation programme and seminar organised by Rewa Municipal Corporation, Jan-Abhiyan Parishad and other voluntary organisations at Rewa today. The Minister said that several years ago, action plan was made in Delhi and Bhopal and major plantation programme was undertaken through a campaign. Greenery in these cities is feast of eyes. This year, plantation should be made at every possible place in Rewa city. Plantation should be made again at places left out during previous years. In this way, over 50 thousand saplings will be planted. The Minister said that nurturing of saplings is more important than planting them. About 10 thousand citizens of Rewa should come forward to nurture 5 planted saplings each. Special attention would be paid to protection and growth of saplings planted this year on the occasion of World Environment Day next year. The Minister said that world’s first Mukundpur White Tiger Safari has been developed in Rewa-Satna. Rewa will also have world’s biggest solar power plant. Now, Rewa has to be made number one in the country in respect of greenery.
