Bhopal, June 19, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Energy, Mineral Resources Minister and Public Relations Mr. Rajendra Shukla performed Bhumi Poojan for development works for expansion of tourism in Mukundpur wildlife circuit approved by Union Tourism Ministry today. He also inaugurated cafeteria (training centre) costing Rs. 60 lakh and parking area, camping site and other construction works costing Rs. 1.25 crore. Minister Mr. Gaur said that Mukundpur White Tiger Safari has carved its distinct identity within a short period. Its income of Rs. 47 lakh till date is the proof that its fame is reaching people. he said that Forest Department will construct walking trail, canopy walk, Machan etc. Besides, forest will also be developed in 600 hectares. Number of wild animals will also be increased so that the safari becomes more thrilling and attractive for tourists. Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Dr. Rajendra Kumar Singh expressed happiness over construction of cafeteria and other construction works at Mukundpur saying another chapter of development is being added in Vindhya region. He hoped that foreign tourists will also visit Mukundpur White Tiger Safari.
Dr. Singh said that more local people will get employment with expansion of tourism industry. Deputy Speaker Dr. Rajendra Kumar Singh announced sanction of Rs. 7 lakh to make availab one battery-operated car in Mukundpur White Tiger Safari, Satna MP Mr. Ganesh Singh Rs. 11 lakh 40 thousand for a bus and Rewa MP Mr. Janardan Mishra announced sanction of Rs. 15 lakh for 2 battery operated buses.
