Quiz competition focusing on MP Tourism on July 23

Written and audio-visual quiz to be held in 2 phases

Bhopal, July 3, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):   School Quiz competition focusing on Madhya Pradesh Tourism will be held on July 23 in all districts of the state. The main purpose of the competition is to apprise school students about importance of historical monuments and tourist destinations in the state. Students of class IX and X of Government and private schools on the district-level can take part in the competition. Winners would be given coupons by Tourism Development Corporation through which they can visit state’s tourism destinations. One team from every school will take part in the quiz. Each team will comprise 3 students each of class IX and X. After written exam, 6 teams will be selected. Of these 6 teams, 3 will be declared top-3 winners after audio-visual round of the quiz. There will be total 9 winners. Decision of organizing and assessment committee regarding selection will be final. MD Tourism Corporation Mr. Hari Ranjan Rao has written a letter to all district collectors to appoint nodal officers for smooth conduct of the quiz. They have been asked to ensure all necessary arrangements for the quiz competition to be held in coordination with District Tourism Promotion Council and School Education Department. Quiz will be held in 2 phases on July 23. Written test will be held from 9 to 11 am in the first phase. Questions will be based on tourism, arts promotion, spiritualism, nature and cultural environs. After declaration of results of the first phase, audio-visual round of the quiz will be held the same day in the afternoon.

Three students each of class IX and X can take part in the quiz on the basis of authority letter from concerning school’s principal. Application forms in prescribed format will be accepted at District Tourism Promotion Council offices in concerning districts from July 6 to 15 during office hours. Entries will be accepted till 5 pm on July 15. Quiz competition will be held in coordination with District Tourism Promotion Council, district administration and School Education Department. Tourism Corporation and School Education Department have issued necessary guidelines regarding it.
