Raman Raghav is thought to be India’s worst and most horrific serial killer. Raman Raghav was a deranged, real-life serial killer who, in the ’60s, murdered several pavement- and hutment dwellers of Bombay. Between 1966 and 1968, this deadly killer was involved in series of most cruel murders and therefore he was tagged as one of the most notorious serial killers in India.
According to a report,”Details about childhood history are not available. No reliable history about mental Illness in his family is obtainable. According to the data available, He was always in the habit of stealing ever since he was a child. He hardly had any school education. He was known to be reclusive. Since his return from Pune in 1968 he had been living in jungles outside the suburbs of Mumbai.”
He didn’t just bludgeon his victims to death using a hard, blunt object but his gruesome activities created a strong sense of fear in the hearts of those who slept out in the open. He was nabbed by police in 1968 and later was sentenced to life imprisonment. He lived out the rest of his days in Yerwada Central Jail, Pune, before dying of kidney failure in 1995.
