Bhopal: July 6, 2016, For the last one year continuously, consumers in 16 districts under jurisdiction of Central Region Power Distribution Company are being sent electricity bills through SMS. Bills through SMS were sent to 4.50 lakh consumers in June this year, 5 lakh 27 thousand in March, 2 lakh 40 thousand in February and 4 lakh 97 thousand in January. All these are low-tension consumers.
The company has launched a campaign to register mobile numbers of consumers in the billing system in Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Vidisha, Sehore and Morena. After these districts, this campaign would be conducted in remaining 11 districts. The company is also sending electricity bills through SMS to over 2000 high-tension consumers.

Get mobile number registered on website
The company has said that the consumers wishing to get electricity bill on mobile can get registered their mobile numbers on the website www.mpcz.co.in or at their nearest electricity office. After this, electricity bills will start coming to their mobile number. At the time of depositing electricity bills, consumers must carry their mobile number.
