Narendra Singh Tomar elevated in Modi government

Bhopal: Senior BJP leader Narendra Singh Tomar, who represents Gwalior constituency in Madhya Pradesh has been elevated as Rural Development, Panchayati Raj Drinking Water & Sanitation. Tomar was holding the charge of Steel, Mines, Labour and Employment.

A former president of BJP’s MP unit, Tomar has maintained a low profile but has been successful in climbing up the ladder. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2009 but quit after being named to contest the 2009 LS polls which he won. He later won the 2014 LS polls after shifting his constituency and was inducted as a cabinet minister in Modi government.
