Keep an eye on quality of food grains

Minister Mr. Dhurve Gave directives to officers

Bhopal, August 11, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan):  Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Mr. Omprakash Dhurve directed the officials to keep an eye over the quality of the food grains distributed from the Government Fair Price Shops. It is the duty of the management and salesman of the shop to check the quality before the delivery. Old, wet, poor quality food grains, stones and dust mixed wheat and rice should not be distributed at all. Mr. Dhurve gave directives in the meeting of food department officials at Indore today.   Moreover, he directed the officers to inspect the fair price shops regularly and ensure proper distribution of the food grains. Beneficiaries should not face difficulties and they should not be made to wait long. Machines should be repaired immediately in case of faults in order to smoothening distribution system. Mr. Dhurve urged the consumers not to take stones and dust mixed bad quality food grains from the shops. Action will be taken against the shops indulging in manipulation. He added that good quality food grains are being supplied at the government fair price shops for the consumers and there is no chance of manipulation at all. Minister Mr. Dhurve further directed the officers of the Food and Weight Measurement department to inspect the petrol pumps and keeps an eye over the quantity of the fuel being sold to the consumers and also on the system of fuel distribution. Mr. Dhurve after participating in the Prime Minister’s programme in Bhabra, district Alrajpur halted at Indore and gave instructions to the officers.
