In today’s day and age, there are therapy animals of all kinds just about everywhere. However, what is one to do when their dog gets depressed? Surely there’s a therapy animal for everyone out there that needs one, dogs included, right? Well, when George became depressed, he met a duck, and they formed a friendship for the ages. “He’s almost died twice. He doesn’t eat. He starves himself, and he has anxiety. He has a multitude of skin conditions from chewing on himself,” said George’s mom, Jacquie Litton.
This was all before the duck showed up. For whatever reason, the duck must have sensed something in George. Something telling the duck that George needed a friend, and fast.“Since the duck has showed up, he’s been fine,” Litton told in an interview. “He’s not wanted (back) in the house. He’s not whined. He’s not meeting you at the car, you know, looking sad. They’re totally different species and they found company and comfort in each other.”
