Books ‘Prayas’ and ‘Pratibimb’ written by Governor dedicated
Bhopal, July 15, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): The Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel said that efforts only devise innovations. She has made efforts to put together a reflection of such efforts and their results in her books. She informed that 5 thousand pipal saplings will be planted in educational institutions of the state on July 16. Under the birth centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, one lakh students, pursuing studies in higher secondary schools of the state will read autobiography of Mahtama Gandhi. This was said by the Governor during the dedication programme of her books ‘Prayas’ and ‘Pratibimb’ at Raj Bhavan today.
The Governor Smt. Patel mentioned that consideration of humanitarian aspects while discharging duties lays foundation of outstanding and excellent works. During the thought to fulfill a resolution to make Madhya Pradesh, a T.B. free state, innovation came into existence to help children suffering from T.B in getting treatment. Out of this, over half of the children got rid of T.B. This initiative helped 7 thousand children in receiving treatment. Moreover, she mentioned about efforts made by the Raj Bhavan for education of children of forest employees, rehabilitation, nutritious food supply from Raj Bhavan for daughters of tribal families in Pachmarhi and help in their creative activities. She further informed that awareness is must to eradicate social evils. Mentioning about the efforts made to spread awareness, the Governor informed about the initiative to acquaint women and children with functioning of police station and arrangements.
Smt. Patel said that it is necessary for daughters to be healthy to build a healthy society. This will solve the problem of malnutrition by birth in children. She said that a haemoglobin test campaign has been launched in the state for the health of girls. In this, blood tests of about one and a half lakh girl students were conducted, in which about 15 percent of the students were found to be anemic. Taking care of their health is to care for the health of future mothers. She expressed her gratitude towards organisations and individuals for their efforts for Padhe Bhopal, opening of Raj Bhavan’s doors for public, for equipping government schools and collecting books for needy children and schools.
Commissioner Public Instructions Smt. Jayshri Kiyavat informed about Governor’s cooperation being given in creative activities and upgradation of government schools. Major Dr. Anuradha of Aastha Village Trust recalled the memories of the Governor’s tour of the trust. Colonel Shri Vijay Tomar of Pachmarhi Cantonment Board informed that after doing yoga together with 2,000 citizens of Pachmarhi with a population of 12 thousand, the Governor has established a new form of harmony in Pachmarhi.
Principal of Delhi Public School Smt. Vandana Dhupad said that the Governor’s selfless love and devotion to work has inspired teachers’ community. The initiative of reading books has given a new direction to the schools. Separate periods for reading books and holding discussions are being held in the natural environment of the schools. Dr. Manoj Verma said that the Governor has given new pace and inspiration to the efforts for eradication of tuberculosis. Dr. Chandresh Shukla of Jabalpur Medical University said that Smt. Patel is a farsighted administrator.
Secretary Shri Manohar Dubey proposed the vote of thanks. Principal Secretary Culture Shri Pankaj Rag, Chief Conservator of Forest Shri S.P. Tiwari, Retired Secretary Shri D.D. Agarwal besides Vice Chancellor of the University, representatives of NGOs and dignitaries were present.
