Constant water quality monitoring arrangement at 50 spots of Narmada River

Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station to check air quality Bhopal, July 19, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): In order to test water quality of Narmada river, constant water quality test equipments have been installed at 50 spots from its origin Amarkantak to Alirajpur. Along with this, constant water quality measurement equipment has been installed at Raja Bhoj Lake of Bhopal. Water quality is being monitored regularly by these equipments. Work to measure local air quality is being done by the Pollution Control Board in all the 52 districts of the state. A Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations have been established by the Pollution Control Board for constant checking of air pollution in the industrial area Mandideep, Pithampur, Dewas, Singrauli and Ujjain. Constant monitoring of air quality of the cities is being done at these stations. Apart from this, Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations is being established in the main cities Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Katni also . The Pollution Control Board has decided to conduct source apportionment study to identify dust particles and various sources of air pollution in 2 major cities Bhopal and Gwalior under the first phase. On this basis, effective action will be taken to reduce pollution by identifying the pollution sources.
