Take action under NSA against manufacturers and sellers of synthetic milk with urea

Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Silavat issues instructions Bhopal, July 21, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat today instructed the Food and Drug Administration officials to take strict action under NSA against those engaged in manufacturing and selling synthetic milk and its by products including mawa, paneer etc. made by adding dangerous substances like urea. Controller Food and Drug Administration Shri Ravindra Singh and Joint controller Shri D.K. Nagendra were present in the meeting. Minister Shri Silavat said that synthetic milk and other milk products made from it are very fatal for the health of the common man. He said that the adulterators will not be allowed to gamble with the health of the people. He asked the officers to take action by forming flying squads to nab those who engaged in such activities at the state and district level. Shri Silavat said that all the divisional commissioners, district collectors and superintendents of police are being asked to take action under strict law like NSA against such persons. He clarified that disciplinary action will be taken against officials who fail to take action or adopt a callous attitude in discharging their responsibilities.
