Madhya Pradesh is a Tiger State again : CM Shri Kamal Nath

CM congratulates citizens and Forest Department Bhopal, July 29, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath today congratulated the citizens of the state while expressing joy over Madhya Pradesh reclaiming ‘tigerstate’ status in the Tiger Census Estimation Report released by the Central Government. Shri Nath said that the tiger is the identity of Madhya Pradesh. It has also been proved that the forests of Madhya Pradesh are the safest habitat for tigers and other wild animals. He urged citizens to be always prepared for environmental protection. The Chief Minister has specially congratulated the officers and employees associated with the management of all national parks and sanctuaries. He also congratulated all the institutions, individuals and experts associated with tiger conservation, who have expressed their concern towards the protection of tigers and attracted the attention of the government. Shri Nath said that Panna Tiger Reserve has done unique work in the protection of tigers which has become an example of wildlife management and conservation. He has congratulated all officers and staff of the forests department in particular. A report has been issued today on the occasion of International Tiger Day by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the number of tigers. The report states that the total number of tigers in the country has reached 2967. Madhya Pradesh has the first place in the country with 526 tigers.
