Minister Shri Baghel launches B.B.A. course in Tourism

Shri Baghel takes part in mass Vande Mataram recitation Bhopal, August 1, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): Tourism Minister Shri Surendra Singh Baghel today inaugurated the B.B.A. course in ‘Travelsand Tourism’ studies of the M.P. Institute of Hospitality and Travels at Tourism headquaters. Shri Baghel guided the students enrolled in the course and extended his best wishes for the new academic session. Minister Shri Baghel told that granting the benefit of the Chief Minister’s Meritorious Students’ Scholarship for the enrolled students is under consideration. He said that the students of the institute will be able to acquire education related to tourism industry through this course. Secretary Tourism Shri Faiz Ahmad Kidwai informed that 2200 students of Class XII were contacted through mock tests held in six districts of the state in the month of February. Career guideline programmes were conducted in 10 districts in May-June, of which 3066 students got registered. Hundred out of these students have got admission in B.B.A. course. He said that the process of making academic council in collaboration with renowned tourism industry groups is on. Members of the academic council’s industry groups will provide internships, exposure visits, guest lectures and mentorship to the students from time to time. The Tourism Minister also participated in the mass Vande Mataram recitation at Tourism headquarters. Additional Managing Director Ms Sonia Meena and Director of the Institute Shri Gagan Saxena were present in the programme.
