Order issued to increase dearness allowance of 4.67 lakh 67 pensioners of MP

Bhopal, August 26, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): Madhya Pradesh government has also issued an order to give increased DA (dearness allowance) to 4 lakh 67 thousand pensioners of the state. According to the order issued on Monday, 3 percent inflation relief has been increased in the seventh pay scale. From January 1, 2019, pensioners will get dearness relief at the rate of 12 percent while in the sixth pay scale it will be 154 percent. DA was pending since January 2018 According to the Finance Department, the DA of pensioners was pending since January 2018. Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot wrote a letter to the Chhattisgarh government and then to the Election Commission. After getting approval from both the places, now the pensioners’ DA from January 2018 to June 2018 will be 7% and will be arrear on the same basis. 222 to 250 crores burden on government From July 2018 to April 2019, the DA will be 9%, thereby calculating arrears. With the increase in DA of pensioners, the state government will bear a burden of about 222 to 250 crores every year. The government has already announced 9% DA to government employees. Along with the aforesaid decision of the pensioners getting the seventh pay scale, the state government has also increased the DA to the pensioners and family pensioners who got the sixth pay scale. The DA has been increased by 3 percent from January 1, 2018 and by 6 percent from July 1, 2018.
