Second phase of free admission of children from weaker sections in private schools begins

Bhopal, August 27, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): After completion of the first phase, the process of second phase for admission in vacant reserved seats in non-aided recognized private schools for the 2019-20 session under the Right to Education Act has begun. Children of deprived groups and weaker sections will be given free admisison in private schools through online lottery.

Time-limit for second phase admission process

1.Generating OTP for choice of school for second phase lottery by registered applicants and updating on the portal.From August 27, 2019 to September 2, 2019
2.Allotment of school through online lotterySeptember 4, 2019
3.To be present in school after allotment for admissionSeptember 4 to September 14, 2019
4.Children to get admission in allotted school after allotment and admission reporting by concerned schoolSeptember 4 to September 14, 2019

There will be no option to apply afresh for admission in Phase II. Only those applicants who have applied online and are found eligible after document verification, will be able to participate in the second phase lottery process. Applicants who have not been allotted a school in the first phase will be able to update the choice of the school to be included in the second phase.Applicants who do not take admission in the first phase of online application after being allotted a school other than their first choice, will be able to update the choice in the second phase. Only applicants who update the choice of schools within the stipulated time-frame will be able to participate in the second phase lottery process. If the applicants do not want to change the choice of the school, then they only have to re-lock the application, keeping the priority of the schools registered previously.
