Provision of Rs. 200 crores made by State Government
Bhopal, August 30, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Kamleshwar Patel said that 200 roads, constructed under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana will be converted into asphalt roads by March 31, 2020. In this regard, a provision of Rs. 200 crores has been made by the state government.
Shri Patel further said that with the assistance of the World Bank, 10 thousand kilometers WBM roads were constructed in the form of Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadaks in the state. Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana was started to provide smooth and convenient transport facility in such small and medium villages, which are not covered under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Action is being taken by the state government to convert these roads into asphalt roads from its funds and with the help of financial institutions. In this financial year, villagers of 220 villages will be benefited by asphalting of 200 roads.
