Ensure schemes benefits to weaker sections: CM Shri Kamal Nath

Chief Minister launches ‘Madhya Pradesh Van Mitra’ Portal and ‘Mukhya Mantri Madad Yojana’
Bhopal, October 2, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): The Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath said that benefits of government schemes should be ensured to the weakest section of the society. He mentioned that it would be true tribute on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi that we should work with commitment to work for the uplifment of the poor people. Shri Kamal Nath was launching the ‘Madhya Pradesh Van Mitra’ Portal and ‘Mukhya Mantri Madad Yojana’ at R.C.V.P. Noronha Academy of Administration and Managment today. The Minister for Public Relations Shri P.C. Sharma and Minister for Higher Education Shri Jeetu Patwari were present on the occasion.
Shri Nath mentioned that Bapu always helped the most needy people. He always made efforts in the direction that such people must get an opportunity for progress and an atmosphere should be created in the society for them to lead a respectable life. Shri Nath further stated that if we want to build the society based on the thoughts of Mahtma Gandhi then we will have to give priority first to the welfare of last person of the queue.
The Chief Minister said that we have prepared ‘Madhya Pradesh Van Mitra’ Portal and ‘Mukhya Mantri Madad Yojana’ to give rights to the most backward people and to support them. Shri Nath told to construct Gandhi Stambh in all the hostels of the scheduled caste and schduled tribes. He said that it is our duty to acquaint these sections with the personality and accomplishments of Gandhi Ji.
Informing about the Madhya Pradesh Van Mitra Portal, the Minister for Scheduled Tribe Welfare Shri Omkar Singh Markam said that the concerned beneficiary can online register his/her claim on this portal. The Van Adhikar Samiti will carry out all the process thorough this portal. The system will ensure availibilty of the cases of forest rights claims with transparency on this portal and reasons for eligibilty and ineligibilty will also be available on this portal. As many as 5211 Gram Panchayats of 89 Janpad Panchayats in 20 tribal districts of the state have been given Rs. 15 thousand for digital tablets to address the issue of online forest rights claims. The portal was launched as a pilot in Hoshangabad district and 700 applications were received.
Shri Markam said that under the Mukhya Mantri Madad Yojana as per the announcement of the Chief Minister, 50 k.g. and one quintal of foodgrains for social activities to tribal families will be given. The scheme is also being launched from today. With this, Rs. 30 crore 61 lakh 25 thousand have been given to gram panchayats to provide utensils for making food etc. in social activities of the tribal families. The Chief Minister provided this amount online to the Panchayats with a click.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister Shri Nath gave certificates of forest rights lease deeds to 2 beneficiaries, whose claims were settled through the ‘Madhya Pradesh Van Mitra’ portal. Certificates to Guddo Bai for 1.779 hectare and Sukhram Uikey for 0.52 hectres of Pipariyakalan gram panchayat of Hoshangabad district were given by the Chief Minister. Shri Nath gave a cheque of a token amount for purchase of utensils by Tendukheda Panchayat of Betul district and Kalaakhar Panchayat of Hoshangabad district. Moreover, on this occasion Shri Nath released various publications of Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department. The Principal Secretary Smt. Deepali Rastogi informed about the schemes on this occasion.
