Government aims at enhancing public facilities for common man: CM Shri Kamal Nath

CM flags off 45 new 108 Janani Ambulance vehicles Bhopal, October 15, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath has said that the aim of the state government is to continuously increase the basic amenities of the common man, so that he can lead a secure life with dignity. Shri Kamal Nath was addressing a programme organized for the dedication of 45 new 108 Janani Ambulances to people at Lal Parade Ground today. These vehicles have been replaced with old vehicles. The Chief Minister flagged off the new vehicles of 108 Janani Ambulances to serve the general public. The Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Shri Tulsiram Silawat and Minister for Public Relations Shri P.C. Sharma was present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that it is our priority that the citizens of the state get all facilities. An atmosphere should be created in the state in which every category remains happy and our state flourishes. Shri Kamal Nath said that replacing the old vehicles in 108 Janani ambulances is an effort in this direction. He said that the the new ambulance vehicles will facilitate people residing in far-flung areas and they will get the service on time. It was informed that currently 737 Sanjivani 108 Janani ambulances are operating in 51 districts of the state. Out of the vehicles that have covered 2.5 lakh kilometers or are more than 5 years old, 50 vehicles will be replaced. It was informed that in just six months from April 2019 to September 2019, a total of 2 lakh 94 thousand 595 pregnant women and 39 thousand 299 sick infants were transported from home to the hospital in time for treatment under the Janani Express Scheme. Similarly, 28 thousand 24 sick infants and total 2 lakh 64 thousand 513 women were transported home from the hospital. Total 77 thousand 446 beneficiaries were transported from one hospital to another bigger health institution under the scheme.
