Legislative Council to be constituted in MP, strength will be from 75 to 80

Bhopal, October 27, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): Along with the Legislative Assembly, there will now be a Legislative Council. The government has started preparing for this. The first meeting regarding its formation will be held on 29 October. In this, Chief Secretary SR Mohanty will discuss its formation with the officials of General Administration, Finance, Legislative and Legislative Assembly.
Now what next: The government will pass the Legislative Council resolution from the Legislative Assembly first. It will then send it to the Lok Sabha, from where the Legislative Council will be formed after approval. According to the initial proposal, the council will have 75 to 80 members. It will have a separate secretariat. The expenses incurred on the salary of its members will be extra.
