5th November 2019
Bhopal, November 5, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): CID produced Shweta Swapnil Jain from Indore jail in court in a case of human trafficking related to Honey Trap. The CID sought Shweta on a three-day police remand, but Magistrate Shyamsunder Jha granted a one-day remand, ordering that she be produced in court on 6 November after questioning Shweta. In court, Shweta’s lawyer Vivek Chaudhary argued for nearly an hour and a half, opposing the police remand. During this time, there was an occasion when Shweta was standing in the court room weeping most of the time. Significantly, Shweta Vijay Jain and Aarti Dayal, who are already on remand in the case of human trafficking, are to be produced in court on Tuesday. In the changed developments in the human trafficking case, Hiralal Yadav, father of the complainant Monika Yadav, who lodged an FIR in the case on Saturday, has said that the case was registered at the behest of the police. Presenting the report on behalf of the CID, Shweta Swapnil Jain has been accused of forcibly pushing Monica along with other accused in unethical activities.
