Actress accuses Indore-based Actor husband of dowry harassment, violence

Indore. A model and actress from Delhi, who had a love marriage 10 months before with an actor from Indore, has filed a dowry harassment case against him. The woman alleges that after two months of marriage, the young man started assaulting her and later left her. Swati Mehra, 30, has alleged that Karna Shastri, (30) son of Suryaprakash Shastri, a resident of Sudama Nagar, married her on 13 February 2019.
They met during a film shoot in Mumbai in June 2018. Karna was the lead actor in the film. In the second month of marriage, he demanded money. Karna beat her several times, causing his ear to burst. Once, while coming to Indore by car, he tried to kill on the way. Karna left no stone unturned in ending her career.
Swati lodged a case at the Garegaon police station in Mumbai. Police registered the case at zero and sent it to Dwarkapuri police station. The police did not take concrete action so Swati came to Indore and met ADG Varun Kapoor on Tuesday. Now Dwarkapuri Police is investigating.
Accusations wrong … this is a conspiracy to ruin my career
Swati is different from me. This decision was taken by both of us with consent. I have not raised my hand till today. This is a conspiracy to ruin my career and discredit the family. – Karna Shastri, model
