All 31 accused of Vyapam’s police constable recruitment scam held guilty, verdict on November 2019

Bhopal, November 21, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): All 31 accused have been convicted by the court in the case of Vyapam Mahaghotale’s Police Constable Recruitment Examination Scam 2013. Special Judge SB Sahu pronounced the decision. He has also ordered to send all the accused to Central Jail. The court will announce the sentence on 25 November. The investigation was handed over to the STF after the case registered at the Rajendra Nagar police station in the Vyapam scam.
This was the first FIR of STF in Vyapam case. After some time, due to the order of the Supreme Court, the investigation of the Vyapam scam was removed from the STF and handed over to the CBI. The CBI had named 31 people accused in the 2013 police exam recruitment scam case. The testimony in this case began in 2014. The testimony lasted five years.
7 years jail for fake examiner of constable recruitment examination
Special CBI court sentenced Shivratan Singh Tomar, who appeared as a fake examiner in Vyapam’s police constable recruitment examination-2016, to seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 6 thousand, while Jugraj Singh Gurjar, accused in the same case The court has declared absconding on 28 February 2019. The sentence was pronounced by Special CBI Judge Ajay Srivastava on Wednesday.
Shivratan was already convicted
According to the case, on 6 August 2016, accused Shivratan Singh had reached the exam in place of the real candidate Jugraj Singh in the police recruitment examination at Vidya Peeth Institute of Science and Technology in Khajuri police station area. He tried to take the exam at the examination center, stating himself as Jugraj. The CBI court held Shivaratan Singh guilty on the basis of the statements and evidence of the witnesses. Public prosecutor Anil Shukla pleaded in this case.
