M.P. bags Award for Infrastructure and Agriculture Development

Union Minister Shri Javadekar gave award to Minister Shri Jaivardhan Singh
Bhopal, November 22, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Madhya Pradesh has been awarded by the Government of India for outstanding progress in the field of infrastructure and agriculture development in the category of Best Performing States. On behalf of the Madhya Pradesh Government, the Minister for Urban Development Shri Jaivardhan Singh received the award from the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Shri Prakash Javdekar.
Informing about the development journey of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Singh said that hard work, inspiration and innovations are key factors of the development. He said that Madhya Pradesh is moving forward on the path of development owing to the vision, experience and administrative competency of the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath.
Referring to the Model of Development of Chhindwara district, Shri Singh mentioned that Chhindwara district has become indicator of development not only in the state but in the entire country. Informing about the innovations made in the field of urban development, Shri Singh said that a new electric vehicle policy has been introduced in the state. Under the policy, initially 400 pollution free buses will be plied in 5 cities of the state. Along with this, a Real Estate Policy has been formulated in the state, which will be implemented in all 378 cities of the state.
Shri Singh further said that Indore Model in the field of sanitation will also be followed in other districts of the state. The state has recently received the Best Smart State award. He assured that Chief Ministers’ vision of development will soon be a reality in the state.
